Why Whack-A-Pothole
I’m fed up with potholes. Especially after a recent £900 bill to fix my suspension and replace my tyres thanks to yet another crater in the road.
It often feels like there’s nothing we can do. But rather than moan about it, I decided to take action. Although I've been told no one cares enough to do anything.
Well, let's see about that. Action over words people.
In doing so, I discovered something amazing! Devon County Council runs a Road Warden Scheme, which gives parish councils the training and materials to fix smaller potholes themselves.
Whack-A-Pothole is here to connect the dots. We give the public an easy way to report potholes, and give parish councils the tools and visibility to actually get them fixed.
Whether I win or lose the election, I’ll carry on fighting to sort this out because our roads aren’t going to fix themselves. But if you do want someone in office who’s already out there doing the work, then yes, please vote for me.
Let’s whack these potholes, one bump at a time.
